The State of the World: Missions Statistics

Of the 8.12 billion people on earth, an estimated 3.39 billion have almost no access to the gospel. This piece pulls together the current picture — where the world’s population actually lives, how people groups break down between reached, unevangelized, and unreached, what the 10/40 Window is, how the major world religions compare, and where the money and the missionaries actually go.

It’s built as a full interactive infographic rather than a plain article, since most of this is easier to take in visually — a donut chart for the people-group split, a bar chart for world religions, and an icon grid showing the well-known “30 missionaries to reached peoples for every 1 to unreached peoples” ratio.
